Day 242 of Project 365: Belated summer equipment.

Just in time for this heatwave to end, I bought new sandals. Points for trying? I haven’t worn sandals in years, and would not have broken this streak if it weren’t for the unforgivable feeling of overheated feet with which I am now brutally reacquainted. I mean, really. I’m already on the fence about the whole concept of feet. Sweaty ones are beyond gross. Writing from: my study. Listening to: “Under the Sun” by DIIV.

Day 210 of Project 365: Hot dusk.

I wore my lightest summer clothing that was still appropriate for work today and it was still sweltering. But I do love summertime dusk, right when the breeze hits, smelling like rose and jasmine. The stupendous part of a one-day weekend last week is a three-day weekend this week! Of course I’m already dozing off in my chair, but it’s going to get great as soon as I recharge my introvert battery.
