archive the homeless

I see the homeless conspiracy-theorist peeps wandering my ‘hood and all I can think about is how disorganized their office products look. Bits of tattered legal pads fluttering out the sides of worn manila folders. I bet nothing’s even cross-referenced, which simply will not do. Most conspiracy theories are connected in some way, like the giant squid overlords possessing Oswald, just like Nostradamus said they would.

Someone needs to archive the homeless people. When they die, all their wisdom is lost. I care because I work with upper-middle-class college students all day long, and 99% of them pride themselves on learning absolutely nothing. They’re not furthering society, believe me; it’s the homeless people who are on the front lines of research and culture. So someone needs to archive them, and I think it should be me.

I acknowledge that I live and work on stolen Cowlitz, Clackamas, Atfalati, and Kalapuya land.
I give respect and reverence to those who came before me.
