The Ep II screening and luncheon was today. Wow. WOW. “Attack of the Clones” is a great movie. I boingied a lot in my seat during the movie and I am so excited to see it again! I will not give any spoilers here, though; I will say that Hayden Christiansen did a much better job than I thought he would. Plus, he’s cuter than I thought he was, too. That doesn’t hurt. But he’s no Ewan MacGregor … <dreamy sigh>

which Episode II character are you?

Probably the greatest Jedi Knight of all. Like Obi Wan, you are wise and keep your feet on the ground at all times. You will not be outsmarted by anyone. You are always faithful to your friends. Be careful though, danger lurks around every corner - you could even be betrayed by those closest to you.

After the screening, Chad and I went to the luncheon and saw a bunch of people, including our friends Lily and Marty (who is suffering brilliantly through the George R. R. Martin books I’ve lent him, hee). We had a metric ton of good food and I had a glass of okay red wine that went straight to my head. There were some props and costumes from the movie on display, but of course I forgot my camera. We spent a few hours there and then headed back north. I had to pick a ring up at the mall that had been sized, and also had to check in on Maureen’s adorable kitten – who had eaten all of her food! I’m glad I came by when I did! She yelled at me a bit for being so tardy, but became very quiet when plowing through her fresh food and water. I brushed her out a little, mostly to hear her outboard-motor purr, and gave her little scritches on the tip of her nose, which she seems to really like. By then I was crashing so hard that her purring was lulling me to sleep, and Chad was waiting in the car outside, so I had to go.

When we got home, I changed clothes and fell asleep for about five hours. Saturday afternoon naps are wonderful. Chad is hooked on “Morrowind” and Da Boyz are coming over (ding-dong doorbell says they’ve just arrived) so I’m sure this will be an interesting evening … or maybe I’ll just go back to sleep. <yawn>
