thick and thin

The thick is: we are in the new house. The thin is: no DSL until the 21st. I am a bandwidth brat.

The thick is: the move went super-smoothly, nothing was broken, it took both less time and money than estimated. The thin is: we then had to go to the old apartment and spackle, paint, and clean it for the rest of the day.

The thick is: we now have a pool. The thin is: the sun has disappeared. Come back, Mister Mass of Incandescent Gas!

The thick is: I am going to the They Might Be Giants concert on the 19th! The thin is: I have absolutely no idea how to get into the city from Novato on public transportation yet.

The thick is: I love my job. The thin is: … there’s no thin on this one. I love my damn job. Even when it’s terribly frustrating. That’s the good sort of frustrating.

The thick is: we are living in a house. The thin is: we are too broke to buy any cool toys for the house.
